Applications

Please Note: The next dates for accepting applications are December 9th thru December 13th, of 2024 & January 6th thru January 10th, of 2025. On these dates you may drop off your application materials at the training center from 1:00pm to 4:30pm. You must bring your completed application, including sealed transcripts and photocopies of all supporting documents. We will not be addressing any individual questions, needs, or considerations at the time of your application.
When future applications are accepted, all required items must be submitted at the time of application. You may either download an application from this website and bring it in or come in on the days of the application acceptance and fill one out at that time.

Listed below are the items required to apply for our program.
1.) A copy of your High School Diploma or GED
2.) Sealed Transcripts from your high school showing that you have taken at least a year of high school algebra with a passing grade of "C" or better. (One semester of college Algebra with a minimum "C" grade is also acceptable.). In lieu of the algebra requirement, we will also accept a certificate of completion from the NJATC Tech Math on-line-training course listed on the right hand side of this webpage.
3.) A copy of a vaild Driver's License or Photo Identification
4.) If your diploma and transcripts are from a different country (not USA) you will be required to have them reviewed (at your cost) by a recognized company that can interpret foreign educational programs to determine the education you have received is of an equivalent level to what is required by our program. Your evaluation report must be in compliance with guidelines set forth by the National Council on the Evaluation of Foreign Educational Credentials. If you are a Veteran- Veterans are encouraged to go online and register with a no-cost program called "Helmets to Hardhats". If you are registered in this program and can show proof when applying, you will receive a "Priority Referral" which will help your chance of entry into the apprenticeship program.

Please Note- all payments for Continuing Education courses and any purchases at the JATC office must be paid by either Credit Card or Debit Card. The office will no longer accept checks or cash.
You can view our upcoming classes in your local LU180 Newsletter and the classes are usually posted on the JW Continuing Education cork board in our Lobby.
(Requirement for Night Classes is 6 students minimum or class is canceled)
